Networks, and increasingly wireless networks, are becoming the hub of commercial and industrial development across the world as we understand and experience the benefits of wireless networking for day to day functions, including:

  • operations monitoring and control

  • communications within and between organizations

  • mobile real time accounting and cost control

  • real time sales support and marketing

At the heart of the wireless world is Wireless Information Networking (WIN), and there is a growing need for professionals who can develop and implement solutions for the configuration and integration of wireless devices.

Capturing data from wireless sensors or wireless synching of mobile devices within secure environments are only a couple of the types of wireless information networking challenges facing businesses, governmentsand organizations today that this program addresses.

Building on the success of our Computer Engineering, Security, and Instrumentation and Control Diplomas, this intensive, unique Graduate Certificate program reflects the latest developments in WIN and relies heavily on applied teaching approaches

Admission Requirements:

  • GPA: 2.6 or above

  • IELTS: Overall 6.5 with no band below than 6.0

Learning Outcomes:

  • Test and measure RF (radio frequency) signals, attenuation and antenna systems.

  • Assist with the preparation and execution of wireless site surveys.

  • Build a wired and/or wireless computer network using system design documentation.

  • Measure performance of both wired and wireless network components and applications using a variety of basic and advanced network management tools.

  • Produce documentation and reports related to network components and application performance.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems related to both wired and wireless networks using standardized approaches and methodologies.

Career Outlook:
