Program Overview

The Master of Teaching (Secondary Education) at Victoria University prepares international students for careers as qualified secondary school teachers through a blend of practical classroom experience and pedagogical study. The course emphasises hands-on professional experience with teaching placements supervised by experienced teachers and tailored workshop-based learning rather than traditional large lectures. Students learn curriculum design, inclusive pedagogy, behaviour management, assessment strategies, literacy and numeracy pedagogy, and educational theory applied to real school contexts.
