Master of Teaching (Early Childhood)

Program Overview

The Master of Teaching (Early Childhood) (also known as Master of Teaching (Birth – 5 Years)) at Western Sydney University is a two-year postgraduate initial teaching qualification designed for international students who want to become qualified early childhood educators. The program focuses on child development, pedagogy, curriculum planning and teaching practices specifically for early childhood and care settings such as preschools, long day care centres and community services. It includes theory, professional practice and practical placements to build hands-on teaching experience. Graduates meet the Australian professional teaching standards and are prepared to work as early childhood teachers.

• IELTS 6.5 overall (no band less than 6) or equivalent
