Master of Social Work (Qualifying)

Program Overview

The Master of Social Work (Qualifying) at ACAP University College is a 2-year postgraduate qualification accredited under the Australian Social Work Education and Accreditation Standards (ASWEAS) that prepares international students for professional roles in social work practice. The course builds advanced theoretical understanding and practical skills in areas such as social justice, human rights, systemic advocacy, cultural responsiveness, community empowerment and evidence-informed practice. Students also undertake extensive field education and professional practice placements, enabling them to apply classroom learning to real-world social work environments and develop competencies aligned with professional standards. By the end of the program, graduates are equipped with the knowledge, ethical frameworks and applied capabilities needed to work effectively with individuals, families and communities across health, community and welfare service contexts.
