Master of Public Health

Program Overview

The Master of Public Health at UniSQ prepares students to address complex health challenges and improve population health through understanding of epidemiology, social and behavioural determinants, health systems, environmental factors and health promotion. The curriculum blends advanced coursework with industry placement experience (120 hours of applied practice) and offers flexibility to choose between a research‑inclusive pathway or a purely coursework route. Graduates gain analytical, research and professional skills to work in public, private and non‑government health sectors locally and internationally

Specialisation/Majors

Instead of formal majors, the degree offers two study tracks:

• Coursework only track — focuses on advanced public health practice topics.
• Coursework + Research track — includes a research project component ideal for progressing to higher research degrees
