Program Overview

The Master of Engineering Science at Swinburne University of Technology is a postgraduate degree that expands on your existing engineering knowledge and develops advanced technical and professional skills across engineering disciplines. The course focuses on deepening specialist engineering expertise and preparing students for independent research work or advanced professional practice. Students have the opportunity to build on their undergraduate engineering background while engaging in research methodology, technical problem solving, and industry-aligned project work. Upon graduation, students are equipped for roles in engineering design, research, development, project management and innovation across sectors including civil, mechanical, electrical and telecommunications engineering.
