Program Overview
The Child and Youth Care (CYCP) Advanced Diploma at Cambrian College is Canada's first nationally accredited Child and Youth Care program, re-accredited by the Child and Youth Care Educational Accreditation Board (CYCEAB). The program prepares students to support children, youth, and families dealing with complex social, emotional, behavioural, and mental health challenges. Through compressed academic semesters, the full 6-semester diploma is completed in just 2 years. Students complete two supervised field placements totalling over 900 hours across diverse settings including mental health agencies, schools, hospitals, child welfare organizations, and youth justice programs.
