Bachelor of Sport Management

Program Overview

The Bachelor of Sport Management at Victoria University equips international students with practical skills and industry knowledge to work in sport, physical recreation, active leisure and outdoor adventure sectors. You’ll study core business and sport-focused units covering planning, human resource management, finance, leadership, marketing and performance evaluation. The course combines in-class learning with practical industry placements, workshops and partnerships with major sporting organisations, so you graduate ready for leadership roles in sport and recreation management.

Specialisation / Majors

Students can choose from two specialist majors after their first year — shaping their expertise within sport management:

• Sport & Active Communities
 – Focus on community sport, participation programs, facility management and sport organisation leadership.

• Outdoor Recreation Leadership
 – Focus on planning and managing outdoor adventure and active recreation programs, with emphasis on leadership, safety and participant engagement.
