The Bachelor of Social Work at Victoria University prepares international students for professional practice in social work and community services. The degree blends academic study with extensive hands-on experience through 1,000 hours of industry-based learning and field education placements in diverse human services settings such as health, government agencies, community organisations and support services. The curriculum covers interpersonal and group work, community development, family violence, mental health, social policy and research methods, all grounded in human rights, social justice and ethical professional practice. Graduates are eligible for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
