Program Overview

The Bachelor of Social Work at ACAP University College is a professionally accredited 4-year undergraduate degree that prepares international students for a career in social work and community services. This qualification meets the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) accreditation standards, giving graduates the professional knowledge and practice readiness to work with individuals, families and communities facing complex social issues. The curriculum integrates theory and practice, focusing on social work principles, human development, social policy, ethical practice and culturally safe interventions. A defining feature of the program is **1,000 hours of supervised field education placements across two placement blocks, enabling students to apply learning in real-world settings and develop practical competencies for professional social work practice.
