The Bachelor of Psychological Science and Counselling at ACAP University College is a 3-year undergraduate degree that integrates psychological science with applied counselling practice to equip international students with a comprehensive understanding of human behaviour, mental processes and therapeutic skills. The program covers foundations in psychology such as learning, cognition, development, social psychology and abnormal behaviour, alongside core counselling training including counselling skills, trauma-informed practice and group work. It includes industry placements with at least 200 hours of professional experience, including face-to-face counselling client contact, giving students real-world application of theory to practice. The course is professionally accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC) and the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA), and provides pathways toward professional registration and further postgraduate study in psychology and related disciplines.
