Program Overview

The Bachelor of Information Technology at Melbourne Polytechnic is a 3-year undergraduate program that equips international students with both theoretical foundations and practical skills in computing and digital technologies. Students learn core units covering programming, systems analysis and design, networking, database fundamentals, cybersecurity principles, cloud computing and emerging technologies. The course emphasises applied learning through real-world projects, industry partnerships and hands-on labs, preparing graduates for technology careers in software development, infrastructure support, data management and digital systems. Optional streams and elective units enable students to tailor their studies toward areas such as cybersecurity, mobile application development or enterprise computing.
