The Bachelor of Education (Secondary Teaching) at Murdoch University is a four-year undergraduate degree that prepares international students for professional careers teaching in secondary schools (Years 7–12). The program integrates pedagogical foundations, educational psychology, curriculum design, assessment strategies and classroom management with extensive practicum placements in real school settings. You’ll engage with professional teachers, use modern teaching technologies such as Murdoch’s SimLab simulated classroom environments, and study contemporary issues in education like inclusion, diversity and wellbeing. The degree also allows you to specialise in one or more teaching subject areas (such as mathematics, science, humanities, languages or arts), enabling you to graduate ready for teacher registration and classroom leadership roles both in Australia and internationally.
