Program Overview:

IT infrastructure, including both services and end user computing, continues to move to the data centre. Whether a company is providing that infrastructure for internal use, or to external customers as a service, the analysis, design, implementation and support of that environment is key. This four-semester accelerated program enables students to gain the knowledge and skills required to thrive in this highly dynamic environment. Skills will be developed in the critical IT areas of infrastructure planning, deployment and management. Students will apply new skills and knowledge in operating systems, networks and virtualization to standard industrial use cases and collaborative projects. To facilitate optimal learning and knowledge transfer for the workplace, all practical work is completed in learning labs that meet industry virtual and network environment standards. This program is suitable for individuals looking to add practical experience to their current education, or further develop and enhance their IT skills for advancement in their field.

  • GPA: 60% or above

  • IELTS: Overall 6.5 no band below than 6.0

  • PTE: Overall 63 with no band below than 60

Learning Outcomes:

  1. Resolve operating problems through the application of standard diagnostic and troubleshooting procedures on personal computers as part of upgrading and maintenance processes.

  2. Install, configure and troubleshoot network operating systems and network devices to provide secure network infrastructure and services.

  3. Install and support interconnected local area networks using various connection media and routing protocols.

  4. Design, implement and evaluate IT infrastructure and network services to fulfill IT business requirements.

  5. Monitor, evaluate and optimize integrated networks.

  6. Collect, interpret and analyze user requirements to produce project documentation in alignment with best industry practices and processes.

Career Outlook:

Graduates will find advanced-level employment opportunities in an information technology role. Employment opportunities might include IT support technician, network administration, system administration, technical support analyst or IT business solutions.
