Master of Professional Accounting

Program Overview

The Master of Professional Accounting at the University of Tasmania prepares international students with advanced accounting knowledge and practical skills for professional roles. You study core areas such as financial accounting, management accounting, taxation, sustainability in business and finance, supported by internship and industry-connected learning opportunities like participation in the UTAS Tax Clinic. Graduates gain a strong foundation for careers across accounting, finance and business environments and pathways to professional accreditation.

• IELTS 6.5 overall (no band less than 6) or equivalent

Specialisation Options

• Students complete 200 credit points including core units plus a specialisation of 50 credit points in either:
• Accounting for Sustainable Business
• Sustainable Finance
