The Master of ICT Research at MIT blends advanced IT coursework with rigorous research to build expert capability in complex problem solving, data analysis, network systems, telecommunications and digital innovation. In the first year, students complete core research and ICT coursework units; in the second year they focus on the Research Thesis, contributing original knowledge to the digital economy. Graduates are prepared for research-oriented roles in industry, government, academia and high-tech sectors including AI, cybersecurity, cloud systems and telecommunications research.
