The Bachelor of Nursing at Southern Cross University is a three-year undergraduate degree designed for international students seeking professional preparation for nursing and health care roles. The program progressively builds your clinical knowledge and capabilities through a blend of theoretical learning and supervised clinical placements across primary, secondary and tertiary healthcare settings, allowing you to develop practical skills, critical thinking, communication and person-centred care competencies essential for modern nursing practice. As part of the degree, you complete approximately 840 hours of Work Integrated Learning (clinical placements) in a range of real-world environments, where you apply evidence-based practice, professionalism and reflective practice. Graduates are eligible to register with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as nurses and are prepared for a wide variety of nursing careers nationally and internationally.
