The Bachelor of Early Childhood Education at Southern Cross University is a three-year undergraduate degree designed for international students who want to work as qualified early childhood teachers and educators in early learning and preschool settings. This ACECQA-approved qualification prepares you to support the learning and development of young children (from six weeks to around five years), drawing on educational research and pedagogical theory. You’ll study core topics such as child development, literacy and language teaching, leadership and inclusive practice, health and wellbeing, and leadership in early childhood settings. The course also includes substantial professional experience placements, enabling you to apply theory in real-world educational environments. Graduates are equipped with practical and professional expertise for roles in early childhood education, childcare centres and related community programs.
