Program Overview

The Bachelor of Community Welfare at Southern Cross University is a three-year undergraduate degree for international students that prepares you to work across the community welfare, human services and social support sectors. You’ll gain foundational knowledge and practical skills in case management, community development, counselling, social research, advocacy and organisational practice. The curriculum emphasises social justice, human rights and collaborative practice, with a strong focus on real-world application through work integrated learning placements. Graduates are equipped to support diverse client groups and contribute meaningfully to community wellbeing in government and non-government organisations across Australia and globally.
